Description

"Steady Eddie" Lopat was a key member of the record setting Yankees teams that won five consecutive World Series titles from 1949-1953. Fittingly Lopat was one of those honored by Yankees at an old timers event in 1971. On this occasion, Lopat was presented with the offered wristwatch crafted by famous maker Longines. Marked as "10K Gold Filled" on the back, this stylish timepiece is decorated on the faceplate with the Yankees logo and the legend "New York Yankees 25th Old Timers Day July 10, 1971" with the manufacturer name "Longines" below. The name "Ed Lopat" is prominently engraved on the back and the fastening bar functions smoothly. Housed in its original factory box, this nicely preserved keepsake shows scant signs of wear and presents handsomely with gleaming surfaces.
