Victorian Era splendor manifests into visual delight with this breathtaking pair of antique scrapbooks. Lovingly assembled c.1889, these antique keepsakes are teeming with affixed tobacco cards and die-cuts from categories such as sports, women, children, animals, flowers, military and Santas. Though all pages are detached and separated, the great majority of the individual “scraps” remain intact and highly appealing. The tobacco cards are all scarce to rare sports issues and include a complete set of (10) 1888 R&S Artistic Die-Cut Baseball Series, plus a near set of (8/10) of the same; and a complete run of all (6) baseball players featured in the 1889 Allen & Ginter N29 “The World’s Champions” second series, making this lot quite the find. Complete list on our website.
