Detailed description on website.
While the 1973 Phillies finished in the N.L. East cellar for a third straight season, a pair of promising young sluggers provided a mere sample of what was to help power the franchise to three successive division crowns. Chicago native Greg Luzinski paced the ’73 club with 29 round-trippers as he wore and autographed this Phillies home jersey. The white knit button-down garment features a red pinstripe pattern and maroon trim lining the shoulders and sides. On the left breast, the script-style “P” logo is displayed in red embroidery on white twill, while “19” is sewn to the back and right front in like fashion. Within the cotton-lined collar, a swatch features “Luzinski” stitched in black cursive. On the left front tail, a “Wilson” size “46” label is accompanied by a swatch with identifiers reading: “73 46 Set 2.” Just above the left front tail tagging, Luzinski has signed in black marker (“7” strength). The all-original gamer shows solid wear with scattered stains about the right front and a tiny hole near the front numerals. Full photo LOA from JSA (for autograph).
