Description

A pioneering member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame, Amos Alonzo Stagg also made an important contribution to baseball: He invented the batting cage. Here, Stagg is featured in the first slot as pitcher on both of these ornate 3-3/4 x 6-3/4" scorecards from Yale Field. Includes: 1) 6/9/86 Yale-Amherst (unscored; crisp, clean EX/EX-MT appearance w/horizontal pocket fold and peripheral surface wear visible upon close examination). 2) 5/14/87 Yale-Harvard (scored; presents frontally as VG-EX w/partial spine split and some reverse surface paper loss).
