Description

The tradition of H&B's World Series bats began in 1934 with brown bats—like this one from the Yankees' '37 championship. It wasn't until the following year, 1938, that H&B changed its color scheme to the familiar black bats. But 1930s brown bats remain arguably more rare and sought-after among collectors. This example features Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Tony Lazzeri, Lefty Gomez, Bill Dickey, Earle Combs, Red Ruffing, and Joe McCarthy. EX overall with nice preservation of the gilt lettering.
