In Cy Young's penultimate season, he played for Nap Lajoie's eponymous Cleveland Naps—as did Shoeless Joe Jackson. This scorecard hails from the immortal trio's unofficial postseason state championship series against rival Cincinnati. (At a time when the official World Series had then only been staged for less than a decade, such state championships were important events that even merited mention of their results and box scores in the era's Reach Guides.) There's a nice advertising photo of Young and Lajoie, as well as a Cleveland team composite page. Partially scored in pencil, the relic measures 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" and rates FR w/light pencil scribbles on the covers and several interior pages.
