Before it was called Crosley, the Cincinnati Reds' home turf was Redland Field from 1912 to 1933. This 5-5/8 x 3-1/2" postcard promotes a then-nearby, now-defunct lodging with the caption: "Am stopping at the BRAXTON HOTEL. When you come to Cincinnati, they try and make you feel at home." According to Lew Lipset, "To the best of my knowledge only two of these exist. One was offered in my 2006 auction. This is the other existing card. The previous one had a slight crease. This one is Excellent and unused." We concur on the rarity and condition. This item has a reserve (estimated value $500 - 700).
