Description

Pennant fever sweeps California in this lot of (9) vintage banners! Headlining the lot are: 1915 California (blue felt with complete applique and original spine/tassels); 1960s S.F. Giants: listed as “Rare” in Mike Egner’s Vintage Pennant Price Guide II (2013), the black felt keepsake presents beautifully with applique at 100% and original tassels intact. More on our website.

California: 1959 blue felt Rose Bowl pennant with crack-free applique designs portraying the stadium and Bear mascot. Yellow spine and blue tassels intact.

 

San Francisco 49ers: a 1950s red felt banner with crack-free gray applique and tassels/spine intact. Lists as “Somewhat Rare” in Mike Egner’s Vintage Pennant Price Guide II (2013).

San Francisco 49ers: a 1960s red felt pennant with crack-free applique; original gray spine/tassels intact. Listed as "Very Common" in Mike Egner's Vintage Pennant Price Guide II (2013).

 

San Francisco Giants: a late-1950s/early-1960s black felt pennant with orange felt lettering. Original orange spine/tassels are intact, as is a vintage "A.B.C. Emblem & Pennant Co." label.

 

San Francisco Warriors: a 1960s yellow felt banner with blue applique at 100% and blue spine intact. Sharp!

 

Stanford: circa-1930s red felt pennant with “STANFORD” in white felt letters

Stanford: 1941 Rose Bowl red felt pennant with white applique at 100%; original white spne and red tassels intact.

 

Note: as noted above (where applicable), the original tassels remain intact on these pennants. While our photographs do not show the tassels, they have been folded and taped to the back. Again, they are completely intact and firmly attached.
