Description

Killer finished out his career during the 1973-1975 labeling period of this H&B 34.75", 31.5-oz. bat. He faced injuries in 1973, bounced back to reach the 550-HR milestone in 1974, and left the Twins for the Royals in 1975. There is evidence of excellent use with several ball marks, cleat marks, slight back-barrel checking (grain swelling), heavy pine tar, a handle crack (small piece missing from crack), and a black-marker knob notation of uniform number 3. According to John Taube, "The weight of the bat is written on the knob twice, once in pencil (32), written by the factory and also in black marker (2), written by Killebrew." An additional vintage Killebrew signature rates "7-8" strength. Graded GU 9. Accompanying is a full photo LOA from Taube, PSA/DNA (for the bat’s authenticity), as well as a Full Photo LOA from JSA (for the autograph).
