Description

Still going strong at the age of 40, Hall of Famer Stan Musial was named to his 21st of a record 24 All-Star Games in 1961, en route to 15 home runs, his eighth and final career grand slam and a robust .288 batting average. At Boston’s Fenway Park for the second of two Mid-Summer Classics that year, Musial autographed this baseball. The clean and creamy OAL Cronin orb (grade “8”) showcases a bold Musial scripting (“8” strength), which has been executed in blue ballpoint on a side panel. On the sweet spot, “All-Star Game – July 31, 1961 – Fenway” has been inscribed in an unknown hand. Accompanying is a full photo LOA from SGC.
