The World Golf Hall of Fame sums up Guldahl's legacy this way: "Ralph Guldahl stands alone in golf history as the best player ever to suddenly and completely lose his game."A respected peer to Ben Hogan and Sam Snead, Guldahl racked up 13 PGA Tour wins plus 3 Majors, including the 1939 Masters. He left the game in 1942 and lived until 1987, yet his signature is notably scarce. This example rates "7-8" strength, with the recipient's name and Guldahl's salutation ("Golfingly yours") affected by a crease. The 8x10 AP studio photo is technically FR/GD due to creasing and crazing (the extent of which is not readily apparent unless angling under a light) yet displays nicer. Auction LOA from JSA.
