Graded Good 2 by PSA with an (mk) qualifier due to a reverse stamp and pencil marks. The legendary (Shoeless) Joe Jackson whips "Black Betsy" through the strike zone on this iconic 1914 Cracker Jack Ball Players #103 single. As one of "15,000,000" pictures in the first issue from the confectioner, no slugger is more desirable or cherished than this tragic "Black Sox" figure. The Indian is captured during his second-to-last season with the club, a campaign in which he batted at a lethal .338 clip. The decently centered front has sustained moderate, but not excessive wear including limited corner/edge wear and scattered caramel staining inherent to the issue. Slight surface abrasions are detected on the player's facial region and other imperfections are barely evident. The reverse which provides the South Carolina native's biography displays two pencil marks; one to the right of the card number and the other on the bottom right corner. A purple stamp is placed on the advertising section. Despite those detractors, this cornerstone exhibits bold surface colors and overall outstanding eye appeal. Those seeking to make significant headway on their 1914 Cracker Jack projects need to look no further than this "Shoeless Joe!"
