It was Cooperstown's biggest induction ceremony since the Hall of Fame made its debut in 1939, and a total of seven legends were enshrined in the Class of '55, including Joltin' Joe and Home Run Baker. Among the many HOFers in attendance was 88-year-old Cy Young, who would die of a heart attack several months later. This soiled, shellacked official ball is star studded with signatures averaging "6-8" strength.
