Description

Introduced in 1938 and 1939 respectively, Superman and Batman are the longest running super-hero characters. The cities under their protection are Metropolis in northern Delaware for the "Man of Steel" and Gotham City in south New Jersey for the "Dark Knight". With only the Delaware Bay separating their home bases, it was just a matter of time until these iconic do-gooders teamed up, which they did in the 1954 issue #71 of the World's Finest title. A smashing success, this teaming continued on and off to the present, with more to come. Comic historians turn some fascinating pages with this 1958-1962 DC World's Finest comic book lot of (10), with: #95 (GD-VG 3.0), #96 (FR 1.0), #97 (GD-VG 3.0), #100 (FR 1.0), #104 (FR 1.0), #106 (GD-VG 3.0), #110 (GD 2.0), #111 (GD+ 2.5), #112 (FR-GD 1.5) and #127 (GD+ 2.5).
