Baseball history steps up to the plate with this Tommy Leach (d.1969) single-signed baseball. A solid major leaguer who played his entire career during the "Dead Ball" era, Leach participated in the first ever World Series as a member of the 1903 Pittsburgh Pirates. One of the "Bucs" leading contributors during their 1903 "Fall Classic" loss to the Boston Americans, he also came up big against the Detroit Tigers, when Pittsburgh won its first World Series in 1909. Historians score what may be the finest example of a Leach single-signed baseball, with this ONL/Giles model. Presenting as a clean, off-white (EX-MT) example, this vintage orb is graced with Leach's ("6-7") strength signature, ideally situated on the sweet spot. Full photo LOA from JSA.
