Judging by the ample signs of authentic wear, this Ray Sadecki 1974 game-used New York Mets jersey saw plenty of Major League action. Manufactured by Rawlings, this vintage treasure makes a fantastic impression with classic blue and orange Mets patches standing out boldly against the road gray shirt fabric. Located at bottom right on the front tail, the factory label notes the size as "42", which is consistent with the team identification tag sewn inside the collar, with the numbers "42, 1974, 33" representing the size, year and player's uniform number. Sadecki's number "33" on the back remains clean and vibrant, however the "Mets" lettering on the front is slightly faded and shows moderate wear. A round 4" diameter team logo patch is securely attached on the left sleeve, as are all of the buttons on the front. Light to moderate sweat stains are evident around the collar on the inside and outside, and small specs of soiling/staining occur at various points. Otherwise this forty-six year old gamer is solid and broadly appealing, with a totally authentic game used look. Grey Flannel auction LOA.
