One of college football's great coaches is spotlighted, with this 1992 UCLA Bruins football helmet signed and inscribed by head coach Terry Donahue. All in all, Donahue was part of UCLA's football program for twenty-seven years, as a player, an assistant coach and finally head coach for twenty of those years. As a player he was a member of the 1966 Rose Bowl champions team and as a coach he won five PAC-10 titles and holds the record for wins at UCLA, with 151. Showing abundant signs of game use including multiple gouges, this Riddell size "XL 7-7/8 to 8-5/8" helmet is autographed by Donahue on the left side above the UCLA decal, along with a short note. Portions of the signature and inscription are worn off, with this visible part reading "Thanks for y... support. You ... a great Bruin, Terry D". Obviously addressed to one of Donahue's players, the visible portion of this autograph shows ("6-7") potency and the inscription is a bit stronger. JSA basic cert/sticker.
