Putting to rest an identity crises that lasted forty seasons in 2005, the Los Angeles Angels reverted to the name originally given them by team founder Gene Autry in 1961. Dig up some ancient Angels history, with this c.1961-1962 PM10 player photo pin lot of (6). While these guys were never mentioned in the same breath with the words Hall of Fame, they were solid major leaguers and big contributors to the Angels first winning season in 1962. Maybe it was their journeyman status, or without a stadium of their own until 1966, perhaps the team's status as tenants of Wrigley Field in 1961 and then Dodgers Stadium (which the Angels referred to as Chavez Ravine) from 1962-1965, that made these team-issued 3-3/8" diameter pins scarce, but for whatever reason, they are tough, tough, tough. They are also fairly clean and glossy with distinct photos, ranging (VG-EX to EX-MT), with: Lee Thomas, Ryne Duren, Ken Hunt, Ken McBride, Eli Grba and Joe Koppe.
