A familiar vestige of the original Yankee Stadium pops up with this game-used wall panel. Employed during the latter days of play at the venerable Bronx stadium, this massive blue panel stands 7'3" high, with a width span of 3'10" and a depth of 4". A witness to the heroics of the Yankees "Core Four" crew and many other hometown and visiting legends, this wall section shows abundant signs of use/wear, including scuff marks, abrasions and other types of attrition sustained from the elements and kamikaze ballplayers who risked all to make game-saving catches.
Best of all, this marvelous piece of baseball history is signed by Reggie Jackson, with extensive inscriptions. Jackson certainly new a thing or two about knocking balls over fence segments such as this, as he did 563 times in regulation play. There was also that World Series night game in 1977, when Jackson tagged three different Dodgers pitchers with first pitch homers in consecutive at-bats, to earn the nickname "Mr. October". All this and more is noted by Jackson, who has signed with ("8-9") potency, in big and bold fashion by means of a black felt marker. Jackson has included the inscriptions "44, Mr. October, HOF 93, 563 HR's, 2X WS MVP 73-77". Accompanying are two Yankees - Steiner Collectibles LOAs and the panel is affixed with an MLB hologram sticker.
