Much to the joy of New Yorkers, the "Curse of the Bambino" struck again in the 1986 World Series. Needing just one more strike in the 10th inning of Game 6 to clinch the series, the Boston Red Sox were snake bitten when Mookie Wilson's routine grounder down the first base line dribbled through the legs of Bill Buckner, to send the series to Game 7. This dramatic affair came to end with the New York Mets crowned as champions, while the Red Sox nation would have to wait until the 21st Century to taste the victory champagne.
To date, the Mets have only won the World Series twice, but both times were "Amazin'". Stake your claim to their most recent triumph, with this 1986 World Champion Mets reunion team-signed baseball. This bright white OML/Selig ball presents in (NM-MT) condition and hosts a total of (33) blue ballpoint pen autographs, that average ("9-10") strength. Full photo LOA from JSA.
