It took 86 years and an awful lot of heartache, but the Boston Red Sox finally put the "Curse of the Bambino" to rest in 2004, when they beat the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series. A happy bunch of "Idiots" came together over the last two months of the season to earn a Wild Card spot, and then went on an improbable and dramatic, but joyful run in the playoffs. The Sox' player who dubbed the team "Idiots" is Kevin Millar, who also made "Cowboy Up" his catchphrase. Recall this triumph a dozen times over, with this Kevin Millar single-signed and inscribed baseball lot of (12). All of these Official 2004 World Series balls present in like-new condition and all are housed in their original individual factory boxes, which are packed in a Rawlings carton. Millar has signed all of the balls in similar fashion, on the side panel with the World Series logo stamped in gold. Millar's blue ballpoint autographs range ("8" to "10") in potency, and all are accompanied by a "Cowboy Up" inscription. Auction LOA from JSA.
