Mesa, AZ, has played host to Cubs spring training since 1979, and the Mesa Solar Sox have been playing in the Arizona Fall League since 1992, with brief stints from the likes of Kris Bryant, Paul Konerko and Mike Piazza. Carl Edwards Jr.'s Solar Sox/Cubs jersey is a Majestic size-44 example with an MLB hologram connecting it to a game against the Peoria Javelinas on October 15, 2014. Edwards' silver-Sharpie "9" signature features the inscription, "2014 Game Used / AZ Fall League."
