The brainchild of Eugen Sandow (a.k.a., the Father of Modern Bodybuilding), these dumbbells have an additional component of hand grip strengthening, with 7 coiled springs between each half of the 6-3/4" weights. Solid VG condition with expected age wear.

The tin box measures 6-1/4" x 7" x 2-1/2" and shows oxidation and pitting throughout. However, the top-panel advertising decal (promoting the London product as "SUPPLIED TO KING EDWARD VII") has mostly avoided the same fate and remains quite displayable despite related, lesser wear.

Lastly, and perhaps most surprisingly, is a surviving copy of the delicate advertising poster replete with descriptions, photos and illustrations. GD condition, framed to 40x33.

Accompanied by a photocopy of the 1910s Spalding catalog page.
