Ironclad provenance is assured with the offered 1939 Play Ball #92 Ted Williams autographed rookie card. As a favor to his attorney’s son, Williams penned his debut in blue ink with the autograph, personalization and salutation grading (“9”) in both strength and clarity. Although the rookie is low-grade due to significant creasing and reverse residue, the overall presentation of this “Teddy Ballgame” is eye-catching and attractive. Also present is a pair of dated 1988 autograph requests on his attorney’s letterhead and a dated 3/28/88 Williams signed Power of Attorney ("8-9") using his full name that is framed and matted to overall 14-1/4 x 16-3/4” dimensions. The signed card is encapsulated by PSA/DNA and comes with a full photo LOA from JSA. The signed Power of Attorney comes with an auction LOA from JSA.
