These men were the heart and soul of Washington baseball from 1907 through 1932. At the time of this 6-1/2" x 8-1/2" photo, Walter Johnson was the Senators' first-time manager, and Joe Judge was coming off a year when he finished third in A.L. MVP voting! The photo appears to be Type I, and its paper caption reads, "WASHINGTON SENATORS ARRIVE IN CAPITOL FROM SPRING TRAINING CAMP / Walter Johnson (left), manager of the Washington Ball Club and Joe Judge, Field Captain pictured as they arrived in Washington D.C. from the Southern Training Camp." Scattered light surface wrinkles, a small stain at lower right, and a vertical crop mark down the middle.
