"The Greatest" scores another knockout, with this fantastic autographed record album display. Titled "Ali-Bombaye Special Disco Version", the album cover is adorned with an image of Muhammad Ali against a stark white field. The 3X heavyweight champ has signed on the field at bottom with ("9-10") potency, by means of a black felt-tip pen. When Ali took on undefeated heavyweight champion George Foreman on 10/30/74 in Kinshasa, Zaire, he pulled out his famous "rope-a-dope" tactic for the first time. As the action mounted, the crowd began to chant "Ali Bombaye" which translates to "Ali, kill him" in the Lingala Bantu language. Having tired out "Big George" with a calculated attack, Ali put him away with a KO in the 8th round, and this fascinating piece is an outstanding reminder of the event. Professionally framed to overall dimensions of 18x19 with custom matting and a metal title plate at bottom, this dynamic display presents handsomely and rates as a center stage attraction, and while there's no shortage of Ali autographs in the world, this one stands out as unique.
