A cult classic comes into view, with this colorful animation cel. Created by cartoonist Ben Edlund in 1986 as a parody of the super-hero comic book genre, The Tick is muscle-bound, memory challenged hero, who graduated to the realm of television animation in 1994, in a Fox TV series titled "The Tick". Here we have an 8x11 animation cel (NM) from this animated series. This original cel features The Tick and his sidekick Arthur, seen in front of his "Protectorship", the generically dubbed "The City". Originally aired on Fox Kids daytime television, this amusing character caught on with a loyal following of adult fans, who keep collectibles such as this piece of animation artwork in high demand. This first season issue is matted to overall dimensions of 13x10, and is housed in a windowed envelope, with a "20th Century Fox Original Animation Cel" logo at center on the top border.
